Online Professional Development

As a classroom user of Jamestown Reading Navigator, each teacher will have access to online professional development content that can be used for CEUs or College Credit* through Adams State College.  The online professional development modules  include:

Implementation Module- Learn how to operate the Learner Management System and use the information provided to make data-driven instructional decisions for your students.  Basic information on how to use Jamestown Reading Navigator is provided with video clips that show actual student and teacher views.

Strategy Modules-Each teacher using Jamestown Reading Navigator will have access to online modules that cover a variety of strategies they can use in their classroom the very next day.  Practical, hands-on strategies give teachers the tools they need to work with students to help them improve their reading.  Examples of strategies are modeled for teachers with opportunities for teachers to reflect on their application of the strategy in the classroom.  Teachers’ work is saved in a portfolio, online, so administrators can review for CEU’s.  Completion of all five modules is necessary for college credit. (Fees apply if seeking college credit.)
