Apply for Funding

The Texas Education Agency has simplified the application process for Texas Intensive Reading Instruction funds. Application forms are to be submitted electronically via the eGrant system and will only take a few minutes to complete. Please click the link below and follow the steps listed to complete the application.

1. In order to apply for funds, your school or district must have been approved for this initiative by the TEA. The TEA has alerted campuses and districts to their eligibility via mail. A list of eligible campuses and districts is available on the TEA Intensive Reading Instruction homepage.
   
   
2. Click the "eGrants Log On" link to begin your application. A username and password are required to access the system. If you do not have an eGrants username and password, click the link to "Apply for eGrants Log On."
   
   
3. The following information is necessary to complete the eGrant application:
• A primary and secondary contact person and contact information
• The name of the program you would like to purchase (e.g. Jamestown Reading Navigator)
• A list of assessments you will be using to track student progress. If you are choosing Jamestown Reading Navigator as your intensive reading instruction program, please include the following Jamestown Reading Navigator assessments in your list:
  1. AMAZE Tracker™ Progress Monitoring
  2. NWEA Locator and Benchmark Assessments

The funding amount awarded to your school or district by the TEA will be prepopulated in the eGrant form.
